Love Marie Payawal Ongpauco, better known for her screen name Heart Evangelista, is a Filipino actress, singer, model, and VJ. She is a Star Magic Batch 9 alumni.

Born on February 14, 1985 to parents Reynaldo and Cecilia Ongpauco, Heart is the youngest in her family, with one brother and four sisters. She grew up and studied in the United States. Her family moved back to the Philippines in her late teen years. She spent her high school years at the Colegio San Agustin, Makati.

Career
Evangelista was first discovered by a commercial agent while at a mall with her sister.[citation needed] She signed up with Star Magic (formerly known as Talent Center) and was paired with John Prats on the show G-Mik. Her team-up with John Prats gained tremendous popularity, and they starred in several movies together— , Ang Tanging Ina and My First Romance. They also starred on another teen-oriented show, Berks.

Evangelista was paired with Geoff Eigenmann on the primetime soap opera Hiram which also starred Kris Aquino, Dina Bonnevie, John Estrada and Anne Curtis. She earned her a Star Awards Best Actress nomination on this series.

She later starred on the fantasy-action TV show Panday.

Evangelista also won the best new female personality (Best New Movie Actress and Best New TV Actress) awards from Star Awards for Movies and Star Awards for TV. She also won Texter's and Listener's Choice at the Himig Handog Awards for her single "Love Has Come My Way". Heart also released the single "Tell Me" in Australia. It peaked at number 18 on the charts.[citation needed]

Evangelista worked on and off for three years (2005-2008) and focused mainly on hosting gigs, starring on a few Maalaala Mo Kaya and Your Song episodes, and giving time to her foundation Heart Can. In early 2007, she renewed her ties with her mother station ABS-CBN and was under a per project basis. She finished a sineserye (TV series based on a film) for the station, the remake of the movie Hiram na Mukha, and appeared briefly on Pangarap Na Bituin. She also topbilled the reformatted version of Your Song under the title "Muntik Na Kitang Minahal".

Managed by Manila Genesis Entertainment for two years (2006-2008), she is now being managed by her father and co-managed by Annabelle Rama, Richard Gutierrez's mother. She was considered for the lead role of the upcoming ABS-CBN show, Batingting, but it was shelved along with Anna Liza (Maja Salvador) and The Wedding (Anne Curtis).

She announced her sudden transfer to ABS-CBN's rival network, GMA Network, last April 23, 2008. She signed up a two-year exclusive contract and is now being paired with Richard Gutierrez. Their first teledrama together on GMA's upcoming drama series Codename: Asero

Religious and Charity Work
Since 2006, Evangelista has been very vocal on her conversion from Roman Catholicism to Evangelical Christianity.[citation needed] She now attends New Life Christian Fellowship after initially attending at Victory Christian Fellowship. She has always stated that her conversion is the reason she moved from Star Magic (backed by ABS-CBN) to the small and independent religious/secular Genesis.

Since September 2006, she has started taking on a humanitarian role starting with the creation of Heart Can, a foundation that aims to help children with respiratory diseases. Heart Can has been taking her through a series of mall shows. So far, it has already distributed many cans for donations, raising money for the young children benefiting from the charity.

Even though her transfer from Star Magic to Genesis has caused her popularity to decline, Heart says she has no regrets because she needed the spiritual counsel that Genesis could provide her. She has also stated that she is very happy with her life, "not just working but having...living a life".

Isabel Oli (born October 20, 1981 in Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines) is a Filipina model and television and movie actress. She is the youngest of seven children of Chinese father and a Filipina-Spanish mother. Isabel graduated from the University of San Jose - Recoletos in Cebu with the degree of Information Technology. She started to get the attention of the viewers when she landed the role of "Isabel" in the Max's of Manila restaurant commercial with multi-awarded actor Piolo Pascual. Kim Chiu was born in Tacloban City, Leyte and later transferred to Cebu City. [1] She is half-Chinese in her father Side. She first appeared on a reality TV show, Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition last April, 2006 and won the competition. She is a devout Roman Catholic.

Chiu starred in her first movie, First Day High and eventually given their first solo movie, with Gerald Anderson, I've Fallen for You. Chiu and Anderson starred in their very first television series Sana Maulit Muli, which was also shown in Taiwan entitled Chances and was dubbed in Mandarin. The series will also be shown in Cambodia.

Cinema
Chiu and Anderson appeared together in several shows of ABS-CBN, bagged commercial endorsements, and was formally introduced in the silver screen via their first movie, First Day High. Marking their first anniversary in show business is their first starring movie I've Fallen For You which premiered September 26, 2007 under Star Cinema.

Maria Cielito "Pops" Lukban Fernandez (born December 12, 1966 in Quezon City, Philippines) also known as the Concert Queen is a Filipino singer, actress and song writer. She started her career at age 16, and is now one of the most popular concert artists in the Philippines.

The daughter of Filipino action star Eddie Fernandez, Pops Fernandez is one of the Philippines' most well-known and enduring vocalists. Fernandez began her musical career at age 16 when she signed a contract with OctoArts in 1981.

In 1982, Fernandez released her first LP, Pops, and started co-hosting the TV variety series Penthouse Live! with Martin Nievera. Fernandez quickly became an immensely popular teen idol in the Philippines; the press even dubbed her as the country's "Concert Queen" for her ability to attract huge crowds. Her face appeared on the covers of countless magazines. Five years after Penthouse Live! debuted, the show was replaced by Martin and Pops Twogether. Instead of merely working with one another, Nievera and Fernandez had gotten married. Martin and Pops Twogether was canceled after two years, and the couple separated in 1998. They have two sons, Robin and Ram.

In 1995, Fernandez joined the cast of another variety program ASAP together with her husband Martin Nievera, Dayanara Torres, and Ariel Rivera.

Fernandez was chosen as Best Female Musical Variety Show Host at the KBP Golden Dove Awards in 1999. Fernandez' fan following extends beyond the geographical boundaries of the Philippines; she has toured in the U.S., Japan, Hong Kong, Guam, and Italy. Fernandez released Shindig Live in 2001.

To her credit, Pops is the most sought after female entertainer in the Philippines. The multi-talented performer recorded a series of songs that reached the top of the charts and attracted sell-out crowds in huge, hometown venues such as Araneta Coliseum and the Rizal Football Stadium, as well as the General Motors Palace in Vancouver. More recently, she launched Pipay, her own fashion collection.

Pops sparked controversy by posing on the cover of FHM Philippines for their August 2006 issue.

Pops (June, 2007) had a show with Kuh Ledesma in Las Vegas but she didn’t have time to reunite with Martin;June 28, would have been the un-couple’s 21st wedding anniversary, but they would have no reason to celebrate. Pops is preparing for her December concert at the Araneta Coliseum marking her 25th year in showbiz. Will she invite Martin as one of her guests? “We haven’t talked about it yet,” said Pops. “I haven’t asked him yet.”

Tanya Katherine Rosales Lyttle, more popularly known by her screen name Tanya Garcia (born August 5, 1981), is a Filipina telenovela and film actress. She was born to a white American father and a Filipina mother of Spanish descent. She became a household name after playing Cecilia in one of the longest running soap operas of GMA Network, Sana ay Ikaw Na Nga, opposite Dingdong Dantes.

Her showbiz career started when she was introduced as one of the teen stars of Star Circle Batch 5 on ABS-CBN. She appeared in youth-oriented shows like Gimik (where she was first paired with Patrick Garcia) and played supporting role in Esperanza as Judy Ann Santos’ sister.

She took a break from her showbiz career for a while and concentrated on her studies. She took up Mass Communication in Dominican College when she was signed by Viva Films and later on appeared in the Viva Television afternoon drama Anna Karenina as Grace opposite Dingdong Dantes. She also had a cameo role in the TV Drama Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin.

Her rise to fame started when she played the role of Cecilia in the drama telebabad show Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga with Dingdong Dantes, Bobby Andrews and Angelu De Leon. On the later part of the soap, she also played the role of Olga, the antagonist of Cecilia, which was played again by Maricar de Mesa.

After her stint at the said show, she was reunited with onscreen partner Dingdong Dantes at the light dramedy Twin Hearts as Althea, a heart operation survivor who fell in love with the ex-boyfriend of the heart donor. She was also paired with Dennis Trillo.

She did a religious-theme show in QTV called Noel where she was paired with James Blanco and Paolo Contis. She was then later on paired with Ogie Alcasid in the family-oriented tv show “Ay Robot” again with QTV.

She also appeared in the third season of Now and Forever Presents Agos as Sophia, a young liberated lawyer who eventually fell in love with her brother (played by Dennis Trillo). She also had a cameo role in the show Makita ka Lang Muli as the young Celia Rodriguez.

She is considered as one of the sexiest Pinay in the Philippine Showbiz scene. She first appeared in the March 2006 issue of FHM Philippines.

Tanya Garcia also starred in numerous movies. She played the role of a possessed man’s wife in Kulimlim with Robin Padilla as her leading man in 2004. Some of her movie credits include Shake, Rattle and Roll 2K5, Filipinas and Batas Militar.

After her long hiatus on the telebabad run, she’s back as the wicked stepmother Aloya in the new GMA Fantasy show Super Twins topbilled by Jennylyn Mercado, Nadine Samonte and former loveteam Dennis Trillo.

Alessandra Schiavone De Rossi, better known by her stage name Alessandra De Rossi (born on July 19, 1984 in England, United Kingdom), is an Italian-Filipino actress. She is the younger sister of actress Assunta De Rossi.

She was once overshadowed by the showbiz success of her older sister, Assunta. However, her genuine ability to act allowed her to eventually outshine the former. Alicia Mayer (born May 2, 1976) is a model and actress from the Philippines. She was one of the hosts of the longest noon-time variety show, Eat Bulaga. She was the Cover Girl of FHM 2003. Among Mayer's more notable roles was being on the cast of the comedy show Lagot Ka, Isusumbong Kita and the antagonist Julianna in afternoon soap opera Saang Sulok ng Langit. Early success
Angelika Dela Cruz started her career in 1995. She became part of the movie Nights of Serafina which made her win the 1997 New Best Actress of the Year award. Angelika, whose main passion is singing, made two albums under BMG Records and one album under Imperial Records, which succeeded in selling her album in Japan. After doing the soap, Angelika refrained from drama and concentrated in her hosting talent. Angelika was also seen in Pedro Penduko at ang mga Engkantao where she played the role of Kalagua, the ultimate evil. She also played as one of the leads in the mid-drama series Prinsesa ng Banyera along with Kristine Hermosa. She subsequently turned down the following roles offered to her by ABS-CBN: lead role on the then-upcoming show Kapag Langit and Humatol which was shelved; the leading lady of Vhong Navarro in Lastikman; and the anti-heroine roles in Ysabella and Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita (which was bought later on by GMA Network where she accepted the role). She was also considered for the lead role of the remake of Rubi.

Back to GMA Network
While Prinsesa ng Banyera is still on air, Angelika decided to move back to the Kapuso network. She signed a full-year contract with the station that gave her two major soap operas. Her comeback project with the Kapuso network is a remake of a Sharon Cuneta movie, Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita. She was replaced by former Kapuso star, Ara Mina, in the on-going Prinsesa ng Banyera. There are news that Angelika will star in another sinenovela with Iza Calzado entitled Una Kang Naging Akin.

Young actress Angelica David Panganiban says she is the only daughter of Annabell Panganiban and a father she didn’t know by name. “Maybe I knew his name when I was a child but I’ve forgotten it now,” she says. She has no memories of her father either. “Only a picture,” she says. And she doesn’t miss him. “I never grew up with a father,” she adds. “Had I felt his presence then, I could have missed him today.”

In her childhood, Angelica had thought that her grandfather, Alfredo Panganiban, was her father, until her playmates set her aright. “I was playing in a playmate’s house and told the rest that my daddy was coming home soon with plenty of pasalubong (gifts).’ But they told me, ‘He’s not your daddy, he’s your lolo. You don’t have a daddy…’ I didn’t cry. It wasn’t an issue for me; I was too young then.”

The only time she wished her father was around, Angelica says, was two years ago, when she celebrated her debut. “He could have been my first dance,” she says wistfully. Her Lolo Alfredo graciously did the honor.

Amazingly, no one has yet come forward to claim paternity of this young actress who starred in such movies as “Antipolo Massacre,” her first film, “Separada” (where she won a Famas for Best Child Actress), and “Santa Santita.”All she knows about him, says Angelica, is that her parents had separated when she was two. He was crazy (baliw), her mother had told her.

It was no big deal, she recalls. In grade school, Angelica remembers having a group of friends called “barkadahang walang ama” (friends without fathers). “All my friends’ parents were separated. Their stories were worse than mine. One’s father was said to have been ran over by a train. Another said her mother chopped off her father’s head, and so on.”

Only recently did her mother started telling her the truth, but piecemeal. “My parents separated, he’s now settled in Guam and has another family.” That’s all she knows and that’s how far she’ll go answering any more queries about her family.

Miles is the third among the four kids of Victorino Sandel and Maria Perla Santos. She finished her secondary education at La Consolacion Academy in Caloocan City. She was a college sophomore student at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, major in voice and minor in piano when talent scout Dondon Monteverde discovered and signed her up to an eight-film, two-year contract with Regal Films.

At 16, Miles was already appearing in GMA sitcoms like Beh Bote Nga and German Moreno's Best Friends. In between showbiz assignments, she joined beauty contests such as Miss Ever Gotesco, Miss Caloocan, Miss Lions Club, and Miss Global Philippines in which her sister ended up being the first runner-up and she won fourth runner-up. She never won a title but copped runner-up positions that earned her enough money to support her family and herself.

As Miles was nearing the age of 20, she decided to do something new. Dondon Monteverde offered her to play a prostitute from the provinces in the softcore movie Prosti (abbreviation for "prostitute"). After Prosti became successful in the box office, making P29 million. To date, Prosti is still the highest grossing movie of her career. This successful debut led to other movie offers, all of which did not enjoy the same level of success as Prosti. She was offered endorsement contracts from different companies, such as Bench (a clothing company in the Philippines).

After Prosti, Miles starred in the movie Xerex (based on a sex confessional column in a Philippine tabloid), where she played three different roles. Xerex was a commercial disaster as a result of two movies: Viva Films' Sex Drive and 20th Century Fox's X2: X-Men United. Originally scheduled for an April 2, 2003 opening date, Regal Films did not want to risk playing Xerex with Sex Drive knowing that Aubrey's rival Maui Taylor and fellow Viva hot babe Katya Santos are a formidable box-office attraction together. Realizing that there's no chance of winning against Viva's sexy movie, Regal delayed Xerex's opening by 28 days.

Unfortunately again for Regal and Aubrey Miles, Xerex opened on the same April 30, 2003 date as Hollywood's X2 made its much-awaited debut. Adding insult to injury, Star Cinema released its much-awaited romantic comedy Til There Was You (Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual) that same day as well. Because Regal spent so much money and could not afford another delay, they went ahead in releasing Xerex. As a wide majority of filmgoers watched X2 and Til There Was You, Xerex flopped in the box-office making only P13.3 million on a budget of P24 million. Even with home videos accounted for, Regal lost a total of P18.1 million with Xerex. Since Xerex, Miles' movie career and ability to attract moviegoers got damaged and never recovered.

Miles' next movie, Sanib, further damaged her acting career as it grossed only 8.2 million PhP in the box office despite its P25 million budget and massive marketing by Regal Films. It was universally panned by film critics as a poor man's copycat of The Exorcist. Not surprisingly, Miles was perceived as a candidate for "2003's Worst Actress" due to her badly-criticized performance in this movie. She played a young lady who gets possessed by demons, very much like Linda Blair in The Exorcist.

Targeting multi-media exposure, Miles' manager secured for her a contract with television network ABS-CBN. She appeared in Masayang Tanghali Bayan (a daily noontime show) and in several sitcoms of ABS-CBN. As part of her marketing strategy to appeal to a wider audience, she began appearing in non-sexy roles in movies like Sanib, A Beautiful Life and Gagamboy, Regal Film's entry to the 2003 Metro Manila Film Festival, where she appeared as actor Vhong Navarro's love interest.

Aubrey Miles has appeared on the cover of FHM Philippines twice. She was a cover-girl of FHM in September 2002 at the start of her career, and was completely covered in gold-paint for the magazines' 75th issue in August 2004. At Batch 10 She Was Graduated in Grade 7 in Jose Abad Santos Memorial School in Quezon City in 2001, Before in Miss Pageant & The Talent Search.

She joined beauty contests at a very young age and she was moderately successful in this endeavor. It was in a small town beauty contest that she was discovered by famed Filipino fashion designer Oscar Peralta who then brought her to the attention of talent manager Archie Ilagan. The latter presented Bea to the head of the ABS-CBN Talent Center Johnny Manahan who inducted her into the Star Circle Batch 10. There she would be given a wide-range of acting lessons which later helped her land a part in the teen-oriented drama / comedy K2BU.

Career

Camille Prats is the second child of Daniel Rafael Prats and the former Alma Quiambao and is also the niece of former actress Mia Prats. She has a sister and three brothers, one of whom is actor John Prats.

Camille Prats' first foray into show business came in 1990 when she was a contestant in "Little Miss Philippines", a popular segment of the variety show Eat Bulaga. This led to her regular appearances in ABS-CBN's children's program Ang TV.

In 1995, Camille Prats catapulted into fame when she starred in the movie Sarah...Ang Munting Prinsesa, a Philippine adaptation of the anime Princess Sarah, which was in turn based on Frances Hodgson Burnett children's novel A Little Princess.

Leah Dizon was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her parents were casino dealers. Her father was a business man in one of the largest cities in California. She has two older brothers, an older sister, and two younger brothers. She says she grew up listening to Rock and R&B music. She took dance lessons and was in her high school theater. Dizon dreamed of pursuing a career as a singer.

On April 18 it was announced that Leah's song, Under the Same Sky, will be used as the theme song for the Japanese drama, Tokyo Prom Queen. Leah will also make a guest appearance on the show as Naomi, the prom queen from the previous year. Her fifth single, Vanilla was released on June 25, 2008.

While vacationing in Manila, Philippines in 2001, Nancy was spotted by talent casters who got her to appear in television ads such as Nestle Yogurt, Red Horse and Piattos. Nancy's auspicious beginnings in Philippine Showbiz started in the year 2000, when the pretty Balikbayan was on vacation from Canada. She was spotted at a mall by a talent scout and was invited to star in a Tv commercial. That one commercial for (Red Horse Beer) a local brand of beer propelled her to modeling stardom. Not known to a lot of people, Nancy can dance the Tinikling, Pandanggo sa Ilaw, Wasiwas and Singkil among others. She took up Political science in the university of Manitoba. She was also the Philippine youth ambassador for Canada and Italy in the year 1977 .at present she is the Philippine education ambassador for Canada. When the show folded, Gma replaced it with Love 2 Love, which starred Nancy in the very 1st season and the show became a runaway smash. Nancy's next role was in the soap Hanggang Kailan where she played a deaf mute. She had to learn sign language for the role. She also landed a role on Lagot Ka Isusumbong Kita , partnered with Cogie Domingo as the teen stars of the sitcom. Love 2 Love picked her up again for another run during its 4th and 6 th seasons for a much needed ratings boost for the program. She then got the much coveted female host slot for the first ever reality based talent search tv show- STARSTRUCK.
